Returning Equipment

Equipment can be returned while making a delivery.

Returning Equipment Manually

  1. Click Transactions → Rentals/Deposits. Find the rental record you wish to modify.
  2. Click the return equipment button.
  3. Click OK in the confirmation prompt.
  4. Your equipment has now been marked as returned.

Refunding Deposits

Deposits can be refunded when creating a sales order, reducing the overall cost of the sales order.

Refunding a Deposit Manually

  1. Click Transactions → Rentals/Deposits. Find the rental record you wish to modify.
  2. Click the refund deposit button.
  3. Click OK in the confirmation prompt. This prompt will remind you that refunds can be applied when creating sales orders.
  4. Your refund has been applied.

Refunding in QuickBooks

Deposits refunded on sales orders are refunded in QuickBooks when the sales order is submitted to QuickBooks

Refunding a Deposit Manually

  1. Click Transactions → Rentals/Deposits. Find the rental record you wish to modify.
  2. Click the refund deposit button. Click OK in the confirmation prompt.
  3. In the refund setup page, select whether to export to a cheque or a credit memo. You can always create a reimbursement cheque for a rental; credit memos can be created whenever the business partner for the rental is known. You can create credit memos for all sales orders and for any retail sale with a known business partner. Enter all additional information for the rental refund.
  4. Select the items that you are refunding with this cheque or credit memo.
  5. Click Submit Refund to QuickBooks. A cheque or credit memo will be created in QuickBooks.
  6. Your refund has been applied.
