Packaging Products from a Tank

  1. Click Production → Tanks to view the tanks page
  2. Find the tank you want to package from. Click Package.
  3. Enter the date of packaging.
  4. Enter the amount left remaining in the tank after your packing process.
  5. Select the Packaged SKU(s) you are packaging this tank into.
    1. Brew Ninja will warn you if you have selected a packaged SKU configured for a different recipe from the current batch. For information on setting up product SKUs, visit this article.
  6. Enter the number of items of each of the packaged SKU produced.  The packaged volume will automatically be calculated for you.  As a guideline, Brew Ninja calculates how many items of the packaged SKU can be produced from the current volume of the tank.  You can split up the total amount of waste by each packaged SKU.  The waste volume will automatically be calculated for you.  You can use the "Evenly Split" to divide the amount of waste evenly between the SKUs you've selected.
  7. If any there was any shrink for your packaging you can enter up the 3 reasons.  Shrink reasons are applied to all SKUs packaged but the amount of shrink for each SKU is calculated by the percentage entered.
  8. If any additional materials were consumed or wasted, enter their quantity.  Waste materials are also broken down by product SKU, keep in mind these are extra materials wasted while packaging, the number of materials used for the packaging have already been accounted for.
  9. If there are any additional notes you would like to add you can do so in the notes section.  The notes will be attached to each product transfer entry.
  10. If you have selected a keg or kegs for packaging you can select which keg(s) have been filled for tracking purposes.
  11. Click Package.
  12. Your tank has now been packaged.
  13. In Inventory → Packaged Product, the packaged Product Sku is now available in your inventory.

  14. In Production → Transfer History, you can view a historical record for each product transfer.
